casting time mods do not matter especially for a mesmer. Use this to either get +5 energy (wand) or +30 hp (offhand)
player build is anything that promotes easy hero micro and is self sustaining for the most part. you technically don’t need any skills if you play with heroes properly, you just need to auto attack to trigger splinter.
Self target, micro SoLS (necro), panic (mesmer). Precast shelter, union, displacement and armor of unfeeling. micro make haste on player. Run in and pull mobs during either wandering phase or patrol phase, never during their regroup phase (bad agro).
bring back mobs to corner block/wall block. Best practice is to bridge the first mob in player agro bubble to the first hero in backline. This causes mobs to prefer backline heroes over player. take two steps away from the wall so that mobs path and get stuck on player. It helps during the pull to micro infuse on player which forces a hero out of position and causes mobs to tunnel vision on the hero that is now half health and not getting healed because we micro’d the healer in previous step. All mobs should basically ball on player. If there are stragglers like longer range mobs (rangers, etc) you can flag party even further back slightly and those mobs will run into player chasing the heroes.
Infuse should be micro’d on pull to promote mob balling on player. ROJ should be micro’d once mobs in position. Binding chains should be micro’d as soon as you see the beam. After this you can just auto attack and they should be dead.
itemization option to try:
+15 energy, +30hp focus, -1energy regen (high energy focus). with +5SR the higher energy pool could be more favorable for consistency and wouldn’t really hinder regen or hamper bip too much.
