Do you feel your soul twisting when you read soul twisting? Does seeing five copies of energy surge give you five surges of anger? Does putting blood is power on your bar make your blood boil? Are you tired of resetting poor Razah’s memory to know only mesmer spells every time you beat NF?
This build started with an idea I had years ago: what if you had enough health that shelter didn’t really work anymore? Could me, a monk main, finally have Ogden outshine Livia and Xandra as a support? And now, with a few recently updated skills, it has gained quite a few buffs and motivated me to resuscitate it.
A Long But Not Exhaustive List of Potential Customization
Heroic:
- GfTE can be swapped for anything you’d like, such as a third pve skill.
- Hasty Refrain can be swapped to “Fall Back!”.
Grenth:
- Swap to Avatar of Balthazar when fighting disease-immune enemies or when you want holy damage.
- Swap to any elite of your choice. Consider Mystic Corruption as a source of disease.
- Swap Twin Moon Sweep to any teardown skill. Consider Irresistible Sweep and swapping out guided weapon.
- Swap Staggering Force for any Dervish enchantment, such as Armor of Sanctity. Add cracked armor somewhere in the build, such as Shell Shock or Weaken Armor.
- Swap Sight Beyond Sight for any secondary, such as Warrior for For Great Justice! or Necromancer for Well of Ruin.
Incendiary Arrows Beastmaster:
- Allocate attribute points from Markmanship to Motivation or Command.
- Swap “Can’t Touch This!” to another skill depending on enemy skills. Consider “Find Their Weakness!” to free up deep wound application.
- Consider adding Pestilence if you feel you have adequate condition removal.
Fevered Dreams:
- Swap Accumulated Pain depending on your deep wound application needs.
- Swap Signet of Clumsiness for Hex Eater Signet.
- Swap Enfeeble for Weaken Armor.
- Swap secondary depending on condition application needs.
Energy Surge:
- Swap Shatter Enchantment for Spiritual Pain.
- Swap Signet of Recall for Power Drain, use Domination Staff of the Necromancer instead.
- Consider using an Ineptitude build instead.
Unyielding Aura:
- I struggled the most with this one to be honest, I don’t think this is the final build.
- Swap Guided Weapon depending on physical damage dealers.
- Swap Renewing Surge for Essence Strike or Spirit Siphon for energy, or Spirit Boon Strike for spirit healing.
- Shelter is more of a backup, and ends up at full health during most fights.
Energy Boon:
- Heroes use Energy Boon on any ally who does not have it with no regard to energy. If all allies have Energy Boon, the hero will wait until one expires to cast it again. Energy Boon equates to a little less than one pip of energy for all allies, with a lower enchantment duration and faster recharge rate slightly increasing energy gains.
- With Signet of Aggression to build adrenaline, heroes use Lyric of Zeal approximately every 20 seconds. With Aria of Zeal, they together equate to a little more than 2 pips of energy for allies with signets and spells.
- Swap Iron Mist for Glyph of Swiftness whenever Izzy fixes it. Put Earth Magic attribute into Motivation.
- Swap Blinding Flash depending on condition needs.
- Remove Iron Mist and have slightly lower Energy Boon uptime but an open skill slot.
- Consider a 40/40 set for slightly less uptime but slightly more energy for the team.
Healing Burst:
- Swap Spotless Mind or Cure Hex depending on hex removal needs. Consider Convert Hexes for heavy hex removal.
- Swap Signet of Recall for Power Drain.
- Consider Heaven’s Delight/Divine Healing.
- Consider allocating some Healing Prayers to Protection Prayers and using Shielding Hands, Aegis, Shield of Absorption.
- Consider Draw Conditions.
- Consider Wand of the Dervish, Elementalist, or Necromancer.
